• Stella Artois pop-up bar
  As part of Art After Hours, visitors to the Art Gallery will be able to enjoy the Stella Artois pop-up bar in the Artbar.

  The Art Gallery of NSW is showcasing The Archibald Prize; one of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious art prizes. It’s awarded to the best portrait painting, preferentially of some man or woman distinguished in art, letters, science or politics.

   

  The Artbar is open;

  Every Wednesday from 5.00pm - 8.30pm

  Every Saturday & Sunday from 12noon - 4.30pm

  
  The Art Gallery Cafe will also be open serving great coffee, freshly prepared light snacks and sandwiches, salads and a variety of baked goods.

• Archibald Prize
  Exhibition will showcase at Art Gallery of NSW from 23 March – 2 June 2013.

Events

The Art Gallery of NSW offers the exceptional opportunity to combine dinners, breakfasts or cocktail functions with a backdrop of fine art – an impressive drawcard for any event! The combined talents of our extraordinary Chefs and the professional event team service the in-house requirements of The Restaurant and Cafe, in addition to providing exclusive professional catering to every Gallery event, from intimate dinners to formal galas and cocktail-style events.

The magnificent Grand Court can accommodate up to 1000 people cocktail-style and comfortably seats 400 guests for a seated meal. Additionally, the function space adjacent to The Restaurant is suited to intimate entertaining with capacity for up to 150 people sit-down and 250 guests for a cocktail reception.

Guests for conferences and lectures can be accommodated in either the function space adjoining The Restaurant, or breakout locations adjoining the Domain Theatre.
